Happy Turkey Day!
Everyone be thankful for all of your many blessings. Here's a special Turkey Day present from me to you:
Oddly enough, I saw this entire episode about three nights ago. I hadn't seen WKRP in Cincinnati in at least twenty years and the Turkey Drop was the first one I catch. Beautiful. Brilliant. Hilarious. The show holds up pretty well, though the late '70s and early '80s clothing and hair is amusing. And the DJs are still spinning 45s-- actual vinyl. Only about 30 years ago and the state of the art was vinyl.
Reflect and appreciate all that you have. Eat lots of food. Watch football.
Life is good.

"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!"
THAT, friends is a perfect example of why the Writers deserve an adjustment of their compensation. One of the Best lines ever uttered on broadcast TV.

The whole episode is brilliant. The set up to that concluding line is superb and part of the reason I agree that Carlson's line is one of the best ever uttered on TV.
42 to 9 would work for me. But I'll take a W for the Packers any which a way-- weird things happen in Detroit on Thanksgiving so getting out of Motown with a victory is all I care about.

Wild turkeys do fly, but perhaps not when dropped from a helicopter at 2000 feet. Hope your Turkey Day was a little less eventful!
Yo, Nick... just about time for a Christmas post. Methinks thou must be hitting the nog a little hard, therefore no more blog.
Says the woman who didn't post for two months. ;-)
Not hitting the nog, no. Just caught up in the rush that is Christmas time plus trying to get the final bits hammered out on my book.
Posting may be light for a bit I'm afraid. But I always seem to come back to this.
