Geography 101
Here are the "locations" for the forthcoming Thursday NCAA 1st round games. I found them amusing:
MINNEAPOLIS REGIONAL AT JACKSONVILLE FL
MINNEAPOLIS REGIONAL AT SALT LAKE CITY
WASHINGTON DC REGIONAL AT GREENSBORO NC
WASHINGTON DC REGIONAL AT SAN DIEGO
OAKLAND REGIONAL AT SAN DIEGO
OAKLAND REGIONAL AT SALT LAKE CITY
ATLANTA REGIONAL AT JACKSONVILLE FL
ATLANTA REGIONAL AT GREENSBORO NC
And just so that Friday doesn't make any more sense, there are these tomorrow:
ATLANTA REGIONAL AT AUBURN HILLS MI
ATLANTA REGIONAL AT DALLAS
MINNEAPOLIS REGIONAL AT PHILADELPHIA
MINNEAPOLIS REGIONAL AT DAYTON OH
OAKLAND REGIONAL AT DALLAS
OAKLAND REGIONAL AT AUBURN HILLS MI
WASHINGTON DC REGIONAL AT DAYTON OH
WASHINGTON DC REGIONAL AT PHILADELPHIA
Now, I realize that they just pick a few sub-venues for the brackets and route everyone there, but why exactly does the Minneapolis bracket never play at the Michigan site? Instead having teams play in Salt Lake City and Jacksonville? Why does the Washington D.C. bracket have teams playing in the San Diego pod, but not in the Jacksonville pod?
The NCAA reps did actually graduate from college, right?

I walked right by the Boston College team busses in downtown Salt Lake City today. I debated various methods to show them disrespect, but not wanting my pasty pink self to be pounded by variuos specimans of plus six foot tall aliens, I opted to ignore them instead.
